Battery life changes over time, but some signs are worth a closer look.
The charge drops faster than usual
If the phone loses power much faster than it used to, check battery usage in settings. A busy app, weak signal, or aging battery may play a part.
The phone shuts down unexpectedly
Unexpected shutdowns can have more than one cause. Note when they happen and what the battery percentage shows.
Charging feels unreliable
Try a known-good compatible cable and power adapter. If the phone still has trouble, the port or battery may need a check.
Heat or swelling needs care
If the phone becomes unusually hot or the battery appears swollen, stop charging or using it. Do not press, puncture, or try to remove a swollen battery yourself. Ask a trained repair professional for help.
